City Council Approves Density Exception

We are disappointed by the Venice City Council’s vote today to ignore the concerns of Venice residents and approve yet another exception to our city’s Comprehensive Plan. This latest exception will allow an increase to the residential density for the Wasserman property (see image) from 13 to 32 units per acre, which will permit 170+ units to be built on this property.

THANK YOU to everyone who wrote to Council or spoke at the meeting!

As disappointed as we are, we are also undaunted. We will continue to engage Venice residents about important issues that affect our beloved city and encourage them to make their voices heard to decision makers at the City, County and State level.

Let’s protect what makes Venice special! Onward!
